OUR MISSION
To offer hope, meet needs, and alleviate suffering in at-risk communities around the world.
UPCOMING: OneDay 2020 | Chile
One Day 2020, the first-ever global event of its kind, uniting communities across more than 200 countries and all 50 states of the United States. On December 19, 2020, compassionate volunteers around the globe will aim to bring hope and joy during the Christmas season by providing 2,020 pairs of shoes for children in need at each OneDay 2020 event in local communities worldwide.
Born out of a nearly 20-year history of service in the Dallas, Texas area, the OneDay 2020 movement is being coordinated in the United States by local organization, Operation Care International. Operation Care’s annual “Christmas Gift” event in Dallas offers compassion and hope while meeting the physical needs of the city’s impoverished citizens. The legacy and success of the “Christmas Gift” event led to the OneDay 2020 Movement, which has been met with tremendous support around the globe.
Operation Care has partnered with GVI Foundation to lead the OneDay 2020 outreach in Chile. GVI Foundation, formerly known as RCI, Inc. in Chile, is a non-profit organization dedicated to offering hope, meeting needs, and alleviating suffering in at-risk communities around the world. GVI Foundation has a rich history of social outreach in the Americas through medical clinics, health fairs, food banks, back-to-school events, and much more in partnership with organizations such as Food for the Hungry and Operation Blessing.
